Hello,

After downloading the latest version od SC, a find out that I have to set the new settings
to use Data from Other Instance of Sierra Chart.

I followed the instructions described in:

Accessing Market Data from Other Instances of Sierra Chart.

Finally, I added a symbol to GlobalSymbolSettings.XML file, which I want to use on the chart
connected to Interactive Brokers.

The documentation says:
You will see the symbol listed in File >> Find Symbol >> Custom or whatever you have set the <category> tag to.

But that is not the case. The symbol is not listed. Can you please advise with this.

Thank you

We apologize for this. We are going to get this resolved as quickly as possible. There was a misunderstanding during the development process of the Symbol Settings leading to this. Assuming there is not a mistake with the Symbol Settings you have created. But the main point we are describing here is that there is not a way to add new symbol settings in the new interface for Symbol Settings.

Our answer in regards to post #1 was not correct. This functionality is still supported in the current version but we want you to update version 1919:
