Hello,

Today (5/9/2019) NISS-NYSE and NISS-NQ numbers are way off. I compared the numbers on sierra with two other reliable sources (Nanex and CQG) and Sierra's is off by at least 800 ticks.

I tried deleting and downloading the new data files from Sierra server but it is still off now.

Please advise, thanks.

Apparently there was a problem with the source data feed this morning affecting the calculation. We will have this resolved after the close.

We did notice the number of stocks indicating to have been traded was lower than usual this morning and we were not quite sure why that was the case. We were planning to switch to a new data feed around this time anyway so we will get this done, this evening.

We do see the problem. It is because the comparison is being done to the previous close on May 13 instead of May 14 due to the daily data files not being updated yesterday. We are not sure why that happened. It relates to a software update but we did test everything previously to the update and verified everything was working properly in this regard. We are in the process of correcting this but it will take up to three hours to get the previous close prices all updated.

Actually the underlying issue for the inaccuracy with the NISS statistics today (2019-05-15) is different than we thought. We may not be able to get this resolved until after the close. It is due to a comparison against May 13 rather than the 14, but there is a problem getting the previous close data for May 14.

i tried to delete and download new NISS data, still hasn't been fixed. Is that the case or I did something wrong?

This is a deep and involved calculation. Once it is calculated, it is not possible for us to go back and change it. What we corrected was the calculation going forward that was fixed last night.
