Hi,

I've found Sierra Charts the most reliable and versatile platform around.

I want to start using it for day trading stocks on all US Exchanges.

What broker would you recommend is the best to integrate with?

What data service for level 2 data?

Thanks you.

You really need to use Interactive Brokers for this:
Interactive Brokers Trading Service

For level 2 data, refer to:

Dear SC,

From IB SC documentation page:

When using Sierra Chart for the first time you should not judge the performance of Sierra Chart using Interactive Brokers since it provides a substandard market data system. When evaluating the charting performance of Sierra Chart both historically and in real-time we recommend using the Sierra Chart Real Time and Historical Forex and CFD Data Service which is provided with all Service Packages.

and:

Interactive Brokers Trading Service: Interactive Brokers Market Data Problems

Since you clearly state that IB stocks data is poor at best, and using SC datafeed in parallel with IB is still wierd, esspecially with 5sec snapshots, etc do you plan on introducing any rock solid continuous data feed with full L2 depth for US stocks? Any timeline for that? Sierrachart is a great platform and it would be so cool to trade US stocks with you.

Of course is would be nice if you added market depth support for your own SC datafeed for stocks as next stage of introducing your own datafeeds after you introduced Denali.

Thanks!

Certainly the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed works well with Interactive Brokers if you just require level 1 data. Refer to:
Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed

Level 2 data is being considered by our vendor of record Barchart but it is very costly from the exchanges. That is the only reason it is not available yet.

Yes I need solid datafeed with full depth for stocks and accesible through ACSIL. Also Im sure it's a must-have for this great platform!!!

The price is secondary issue. First thing is to have this possibility at all.

BTW Bookmap uses dxFEED for full depth for stocks sucessfuly, but they block the possibility of accesing this data through their API, because of their iterpretation of US exchanges "non-display use of data" policy. Would it be your interpretation too? Having read your IB stocks data documentation I didnt even try to use it so I dont know if IB stocks data is accessible through ACSIL at the moment. IMHO it's an opportunity of big competetive advantage for sierra here.

Do you have any timeline for giving us a solid stocks datafeed with full depth any soon or it's just a consideration stage? Thanks!

SC Engineering, I agree with the user request here for Level 2 data feed from SC. Using IB's feed and symbol naming is driving me crazy. I'm using the Denali feed for futures and it's flawless. I want the same for stocks! Thanks

Same here so a +1 for providing a full L2 feed, i'm stuck with needing full level 2 for US equities (and not just one exchange at a time). The only reason I haven't switched all my data needs to SC is because of this missing feature.

@Sierra Engineering

I was looking for brokers that offer futures AND stock trading, there aren´t many, from what I could find here there is just Interactive Brokers, TD Ameritrade and Tradestation.

I searched here in the forum and it seems you don´t work with tradestation? I can´t have a trading account with tradestation and use sierra for trading?

Can´t I configure sierra with tradestation credentials?

From the above it seems you only work with interactive brokers.

I recently moved to IB partially also for an all in one broker, but am disappointed with their futures trading at least through TWS, having problems.

Is there another option through SC for futures, forex, stocks? Could TD work again?

I have the same question regarding stocks..what stock broker to use? Used IB for many years but switched a couple years ago to other futures brokers. Would very much like to trade stocks with SC and without IB.
