Greetings,

i was chating with amp support and was a bit shocked they dont even offer a BASIC platform for account details. So i have no easy access to trade details. The only thing i get is an email upon trade activity. Damn, thats so backward, maybe its standard for trading futures in the US but its kinda shocking.

So how reliable is sierrachart in showing me whats really going on in my account? Am i supposed to use the new Sierra Chart Futures Order Routing Service With Data?
Was it created for this lack of transperency in the futures industry? I mean, i get an email? Thats it?

Trade History, Open positions, account balance, Margin, P&L....the usual STANDARD stuff. 100% reliable...

With LMAX i can at least log into a basic webinterface showing me some account details...which is important because sc doesnt get all the data from the LMAX connection needed for reliable statistics, afaik.

But with AMP i kinda feel almost blind. I cant even crosscheck what sc is showing me...an email is all i got. So i try to figure out what i need to get a better overview over my account. I kinda guess you implemented your new Sierra Chart Futures Order Routing Service for such a case?

You don't say which AMP platform you use 602. I'm a recent AMP customer and I use CQG as my platform - so maybe you need to log into the platform as well.

So I get emails from AMP each day.

But I can also log into CQG via the browser or via an app on my Android Tablet & get current details (in fact its annoyingly noisy & I turned off the alerts to stop it dinging on every order fill). The information that Sierra provides does match the platform details but I'm sure you'll find it reassuring to log onto the underlying trading platform.

Yeah, thx.

I thought the underlying platform is Sierra Chart. Now i need a 2nd piece of software? Am i free to choose...for free? And i get all my account details?

Use Amps chat support. SierraChart is a human to data/trading platform interface. The trading platform (cqg in my case) connects you to the exchange.

Amp look after your customer service and billing while hooking you up with SierraChart and the data/trading platform interface.

Show them my post above & ask how you can get those details. You might be connected to cqg but it could be a number of others so they can tell you how to do it. You already have user names & passwords but need someone at AMP to tell you how to use them :)

Ok, thanks for your help. I thought Rithmic is JUST!!! a Data Provider.

It looks like Rithmic is a bit more: "Rithmic is an independent software vendor (ISV). Our proprietary trade execution system provides market data from, and order routing to, the world's principal exchanges."

So if i understand it right, then AMP, the broker where my money is, is using the Rithmic Order Routing to execute my order and SC is connected to Rithmic through AMP?. Looks like its all done through the Rithmic service. And Rithmics business model is open for any broker.

Looks like AMP directs all the account informations to the Trading platform of my choice and because i have chosen Rithmic for its full orderbook depth, i also have access to my account details within the platform "Rithmic Trader Pro". AMP is JUST!!! an introducing broker. The real deal is Rithmic and not AMP.

Correct.

Rithmic, CQG & TT don't want to deal with small traders so AMP and other brokers provide a low price collector of traders for the large data/order interface firms.

Sounds like you've figured out how to get your information now so that's good.
