I read information on your webiste about diffrent types of packages and market data feed but unfortunatelly I'm having hard time to get these pieces together.

Basically I'm non professional trader who wants to have access to real time data (no need for Market Depth packages ) for US stocks (NYSE) and Futures: CME. (COMEX and NYMEX optionally depending on price). I want to highlight that For the time being I dont need to place trades on live account. Accessing real time data and using the platform is enough for me at this point of time. I used to have a live account with Infinity but it got expired. Not sure if this is required to access futures data or not in this case?

Can you please clarify:

1. What would be my monthly costs for using a platform. I would prefer to purchase the software for 6 months in advance.
2. Monthly costs of accessing real time data specified above.
3. DO I have to have a live Futures account to access data for Futures ? Do I need to deposit some money as deposit on this account as well?

I have live and funded Futures account in TradeStation.

Thank you in advance for your help.

1. The cost for the Sierra Chart software on Package 3 (non-advanced) is $26.00 USD per month. There are discounts for multiple month purchases - in particular a 6 month purchase is $118.56 USD ($19.76 USD per month). You will find all the information on the software pricing here:
Description of Service Packages and Pricing

2. The Sierra Chart Real-Time data has pricing based on how many Real-Time symbols you will need. The base offering is 20 symbols for $25.00 USD per month. The Real-Time data feed is only available on a monthly basis. You will find the information on the costs for the Real-Time Data Feed here:
Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed: Data Feed Pricing

Then there are the costs for the exchanges themselves. The following are without any Market Depth: The US Equities package is $10.50 USD per month. The full CME is $3.25 per month. You will find the documentation for the exchange pricing here:
Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed: Supported Exchanges

3. You need to have a live, funded trading account in order to qualify for the lower-cost Non-Professional fees from the CME. Refer to the following:

John,

Thank you for the clarification. Now its clear. I've got two more questions:

1. If I will open a live account in order to qualify for the lower-cost Non-Professional fees from the CME do I have to have access to real time data from these brokers as well or historical data would be enough to connect to the account one per month as per the requirment? I want to be sure as there are diffrent requirments for intraday data and historical data.

2. Can I subscribe to Simulated account only with real time data for futures and stocks? This I belive would reduce requirment to have an open Futures account? Is this correct? Does Simulated account have access to the same tick data as Live accounts? Will costs for Simulated account will be the same or lower?

Please confirm.

Thank you in advance

Rob

1. If you are using Sierra Chart directly (paying for it directly to Sierra Chart, and not having gotten it, or paying for it through a broker or other source), then the Historical and delayed Intraday Data is available at no cost. If you do not need Real-Time data, then this is all you need, and you do not need to worry about any other data sources, connecting to live accounts, etc. All of that other stuff is only if you need Real-Time data. Here is the information on the Historical and Delayed Data:
Sierra Chart Historical Data Service

If you do need Real-Time data, then it is your choice as to where you get it from. If you want to use the Sierra Chart Real-Time Data (which is what we have been talking about so far), and if you want data from any of the CME Group Exchanges, then you would need to have a Live, Funded Trading account that you can connect to once a month in order to qualify for the lower cost non-professional exchanges fees.

2. You have this information incorrect. There is a Simulation mode in Sierra Chart, but it does not matter with respect to the data feed as to whether you are using Sierra Chart in Simulation Mode or not. The data is the data, and how you get it is the same and you have the same requirements as have been discussed.

There are some brokers that have simulated accounts, which is different from Simulation Mode in Sierra Chart. If you are getting data from the broker, then what kind of account you have could affect the data. This is something you would need to check into with whichever broker you are using.

If you are using the Sierra Chart Real-Time data, and you have a simulation account with a broker, you would still need to have a Live Funded Trading Account to get the lower-priced CME exchange fees.

Refer to the following for information on Simulation Mode within Sierra Chart:
Trade Simulation
