[Locked] - refresh position data

Good morning,
I am showing a false long position on a SC trading window---the refresh trade data button in the positions window will not clear it.

If I hit flatten will I end up short?

It is not in sim mode.

yep----hit the flatten button and ended up short---you guys should figure out the bug on the position refresh with
interactive brokers

We definitely cannot help with any Trade Position reporting problems with Interactive Brokers. In some cases those can be common with IB.

If you are currently flat the market and there are no other positions in your Interactive Brokers trading account, this issue has been resolved. Update to the current version following the instructions here:

Sorry to resurrect this old post, but, this is occurring regularly for me. The bigger issue is, of course, that I'm being entered into positions when I hit the "Flat" button. Usually, this isn't a problem. But, occasionally, SC sees a position open even though it isn't and I end up in a trade. Has this been fixed, or, is there still an issue due to IB's connection limitations?

I'm a bit perplexed how this is happening and why there isn't a programmatic fix for this. If I flatten from my position, what's happening to cause a phantom order to appear again? I'm assuming that the position data hasn't sync'd yet with IB. But, isn't there a way for SC to track position entries and exits within the platform itself and validate first before establishing a new position with the "Flat" command?

FYI: I'm running the latest SC software with Denali data feed and IB order routing. At some point, I'll be moving to Teton.

We cannot fix Interactive Brokers issues, and there are plenty of warnings here about Interactive Brokers:
Interactive Brokers Trading Service: Introduction

We cannot provide help with this and this is not a Sierra Chart issue. We will not try to implement any "fixes".

If you are trading futures you should move to our Teton order routing.

There is no further help we can provide with Interactive Brokers.
