Does SC have any integration (or plans for) with CFD providers other than LMAX, FXCM or IB? They all have large problems, another provider would be very welcome.

We are looking into this. Possibly Oanda.

That would be great, Oanda would probably be my first choice also.

Is there a good place to check in on to get updates on this? Announcements, upcoming changes etc..

It would be better to hook up with ctrader. Available at 15 brokers at the moment including few of world's largest Tier 1, 'Grade A' ECN brokers i.e. ICmarkets, Fxpro, Pepperstone. Ctrader offer standardised api and FIX connection. https://spotware.com/featured-ctrader-brokers/

Quantower has them already, and they dont even support all the difficult connections like Rithmic like Sierra yet. So I reckon it would be perhaps not hard.

Oanda is just a single market maker broker with large spreads. Not suited for day traders, primary customers of Sierra Chart.

Thanks for the post, Quantower looks interesting.

Yes Oanda is a MM with poor spreads, but even still they're just on average 1pt worse than LMAX as far as I've observed, and of course, no commission. Plus they have implemented overnight hours on their DAX CFD, unlike LMAX. Another benefit would be not having to deal with LMAX anymore.

I trade intraday, and though I'd miss the tighter spread I don't need it, I'm not scalping.

if anyone is interested, I got an email from LMAX claiming that from 19 july, DAX CFD will become 24h market.

At this point we are not planning Oanda support and we know we have gone back and forth on this. We are looking at CTrader though.

NinjaTrader supports both OANDA and CityIndex (Gain Capital). Qantower and MultiCharts support OANDA too.
OANDA has advantages not seen elsewhere, like no minimum lot size, which can make up for very precise currency hedging, as well as the most inexpensive swaps for long-term investment. Hope you will reconsider when you have more time

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FXCM

Write them an email and ask them how long a transaction back to your bank account can take.
Afaik its up to 3!!!!!!!!!!!!! months. Last time i was checking them they were still in bad finacial state and therefor invest in some fixed income products. Thats why you have to wait so long.

That would be my main concern. But right after that, the company's history is kinda interesting...

Things could have changed, up to you to find out.

Thank you for this answer.

And about Sierra Chart, is there any problem when a connection is made with FXCM ?

What about the quality of the connection, opening or closing a position, ... ?

Have you any experience ?
