Hello,

I'm doing some calculations in spreadsheet and would like to present few columns of values in own region of the chart below bars. What would be the recommended way to do it?

The only way at the moment that found is to use "Spreadsheet Study" and present values as "Custom value at Y with border" in the Subgraphs tab. That is kind of working because it tries to place text according to its value on the vertical axis. So I have to shrink range of that region to place values more or less on the same level visually.

The best way to present such data would be something similar to the "Numbers Bars Calculated Values" study - just plain table with ability to manipulate colors of cells based on some criteria with input coming from spreadsheet columns.

Thanks and best regards

What you are doing is really the only way to do it using existing studies.

The Numeric Information Table Graph is available through ACSIL, so you can create the same display, but you will have to program the ACSIL study to do it. Refer to the following for this drawing type for ACSIL:

Right, but it becomes very user unfriendly solution for cases when I want to publish values from few columns of the spreadsheet:
- consumes too many regions of the chart (one per each column)
- space inefficient as each region has extra "header" and "footer" space

Code that you have created to populate "Number Bars Calculated Values" supports up to 60 subgraphs and each one of them could be presented as row in such table on the chart.

It would be great if you could create some universal study to present data in table format using presentation layer of the "Numbers Bars Calculated Values" study for spreadsheet columns. It could also be a great debugging tool for ACSIL studies

Thanks again and best regards

Hello SierraChart Support,

It would be great if you could create some universal study to present data in table format using presentation layer of the "Numbers Bars Calculated Values" study for spreadsheet columns.

I completely agree with this point and was wondering if there have been new developments in this area since the above was posted in 2019?

Kind Regards,
