Orders not working

I am having an issue where when I trade off the DOM attached to a TPO chart the BUY order won't work. I am using a bracket order template and limit order but when I press the BUY button the order doesn't even show up on the chart. If I click the Sell button instead it will work. If I then do a "FLATTEN" it will flatten the order and I get audable notification of my order execution (I setup audio alerts) and it will tell me that I had multiple orders canceled, so it's like they're there but not being shown. If I click the buy/sell in a regular 5min candlestick chart with the DOM attached it works fine, just seems to happen on the TPO chart. I've restarted the platform, but that doesn't fix it. Is this a known issue? What's the fix?
Thanks,
Randy

It just simply sounds like the price of the orders are not within the current visible range of prices. Refer to the Interactive Scale Range section to increase the range of prices displayed to see the orders:

No, that's not it. So I did a quick video to better illustrate.

Hello Randy,

Just about the first 20 seconds was enough.

We see the mistake. You are specifying the order type as Limit but not entering a price in the box below. Make sure you select a price from the Limit drop down box.

Or you could use the Chart DOM that you have up on the right side of the chart and left click in the buy or sell columns:

Oh....that's odd. I was using it like that for about a week and it was working (I just figured when I hit LIMIT it was taking the current ask price and setting it as the limit, but not acting like a market allowing slippage), but now it doesn't. Also, I don't enter a price for the SELL and it works...why does it work one way and not the other? What you say makes sense and that's how my other brokerage platforms worked, but like I said it worked without it before and it works without it with SELL....so just a bit confusing. Also, why does it show up in the "Orders and Positions" window?

Thanks,
Randy

You should see the orders on the Orders tab but the buy order would have been rejected so it would have been in an error state.

Hello,

i dont know what happened. But suddenly buy / stop orders are not moving anymore. Market orders still work.

Any clue what the problem could be ?

Best Regards

At this point i need to ask, which Service i have to select in Data Settings when having Denali datafeed?
Is it CQG or SC ALL DATA? I think ive found the question for this here: setup for CQG order routing with Denali data feed

What do you mean by the Buy/Stop orders are not moving. We looked at the video you sent, and we see you move the parent order and the attached orders moved with it. So we are not sure exactly the issue is.

You need to have your Service set to whatever your trading service is. In your case, this would be CQG. Sierra Chart is setup to be able to get data from either the trading service or from our own data services.

First, check your Trade Service Log and your Message Log to see if they have any information on why the order did not fill.

Next, you would need to take it one step at a time and see what might be happening. Just try to put a Buy Limit order on and then move it well above the current price and make sure it fills. Then do the same with Sell Limit. And add to them until you are back to your original setup and see if you still have a problem.

If you are referring to live trading and you are using CQG, you need to contact your broker for further help.
