Just signed up and activated today. I followed all of the steps in the article, restarted, download new symbols, box is checked. Here is the log.

I am behind a proxy but my connection to OEC works fine.

This is caused by a firewall on your system or network. Refer to help topic 1.2 here:

Are you connecting from a company network? If not disable firewall software on your system. Windows firewall should be OK.

Thanks but that isn't the issue. I can login fine and connect to OEC fine. The issue is the SC data service is trying to connect to the data service IP directly even though it is using port 443 (HTTPS). It should not ignore the proxy settings when requesting over port 443 or it should use a different port.

So it sounds as though there is a proxy used for port 443 on your network.

Select Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >>SC Server Settings >> Port for SC Real-Time Server. Set this to 10048.


After this you should be able to get the connection.
