When opening a trade, what does 1 contract on the Sierra platform represent on the FXCM server?

This is just one currency unit. Normally you would use a trade of 1000 or 10000 unless you are trading a CFD.

I dont know what you mean by 'one currency unit'. Does 1 contract = 1 standard lot size or does 1 contract = 1 dollar per tick? Can you tell me what 1 contract means for the following instruments: Dow Jones Index (US30) German 30 SPX500 US Crude Oil Thanks. |

Those are CFDs and not currency pairs. As far as what a quantity of 1 means for each of those contracts, contact FXCM. They will know best. We cannot answer this question reliably. Other than to say when you set a quantity of 1 that is what is sent to FXCM.

For anyone that stumbles across this question. It appears that 1 contract = 0.10USD per pip. https://help.fxcm.com/uk/Product-Guide/Indices/82324235/US30.htm Date Time Of Last Edit: 2019-03-18 17:57:59
