Hi,

I am finding a real deficiency in the settings for the large volume trade indicator in that you cannot currently set the minimum indicator size when you have it on automatic sizing.

This means that if there is one really big trade above your threshhold then all the other dots become so small as to be almost invisible.
This defeats the purpose of having theme there - ie if you can't see them because they are that small then you can't take advantage of them.

I think it would be a very simple remedy for SC to sort this out
Introduce an input for minimum dot size into this indicator's settings

eg Automatic sizing - ON
Minimum size - 10
Maximum size - 35

Then at least we could still see all the dots that were above the set volume threshhold

Could you please also consider this from #4?

Summing up trades/delta for a specific price level instead of ONE particular trade would make a lot of sense.

We will see, but do not expect this to happen for a very long time.

Re post #27, thank you.
I can see in pre-release 1999 that the minimum indicator size setting is present and functional

any possibility that the delta dots could be implemented like in Bookmap?

Bookmap-style dots would be awesome! At least we would need some aggregation of trades per price for the large volume trade indicator.

@SC

Please. Just make the high volume trade indicator work with aggregation of orders at one price level instead of just showing the very large orders.

This really is the last part missing to cancel my Bookmap.

I have a custom study that can be used for this purpose, see screenshot.
It is not free of charge, direct message me for details if interested.

@User907968

I'm not allowed to message you directly but accepted you to message me. Could you please share some details about your study? Highly interested if it sums up volume per pricelevel similar to Bookmap.

Definitely +1 for volume accumulation at a level instead of large orders. Would be insanely useful.

I should add that volume by price threshold does closely have what we're looking for at least in terms of data processing, but visually should be more like the large volume trade study (bid ask shading, variable size, etc.)

Those of you using Bookmap software please go into Bookmap Forums and go into Features and Benefits request.
Open the Thread Please add Support for Sierra Chart Data Feed.
An post a support message if you would like another data feed option that is
1. More then 10 levels
2. Tick by Tick data
3. Reasonably Priced
4. Possible future integration (based on building a relationship) between two great platforms.

Thanks in advance for the time and consideration

We need to review this and see exactly what we need to do. We just have not gotten around to it yet.

As a vague substitute, using color and shade rather than graphical size, look at bid-ask bars for chart style.

- they become a darker shade with more volume,
- they are split by color for ratio bid/offer. But hard to read.

To take them further, would be nice of user could:

- edit % level to determine volume v.s. bar shading
- flip the colors (eg, green on top or red on top. For my mind, bids hit color should be at the bottom of the bar. Offer taken at the top of the bar)

You can also use color + shading intensity on customized skinny numbers bars to reflect similar data interpretations of volume and bid/offer ratio. The customization within SC numbers bars is a very deep and rewarding rabbit hole.

Sierra Charts Engineering: referring to post #43

I think you actually have almost it:
whith the indicator Volume at Price Threshold Alert V2, as comparison method there is already "Ask Volume Bid Volume Difference" and it would be necessary only to put a kind of Draw size automatically
I tryed to make it work setting it with the trigger 1, 2 3 etc.. but it didn't work properly, there should be somethng like in the "Large Volume Trade indicator" -AUTOMATIC INDICATOR SIZE
Unfortunately Large volume indicator is of very little practical use because we don't care of large volume on single trade (since orders are normally splitted) but we are interested for large delta at a price.
regards
