Chart DOM orientation of depth volume bars vs pulling stacking bars

Please see the attached image.

Is there any reason why the bid depth volume bars (pictured on the left) must be oriented from left to right whereas the bid depth pulling stacking bars (pictured on the right) are oriented from right to left.

Would it not make much more sense to have these oriented in the same direction, preferably from right to left so a direct comparison can be made rather than trying to invert the bid depth volume in your head ?

For the Combined Bid/Ask Size I have tried Left, Center, Right in the "Alignment" box and this does not change the left to right orientation of the volume bar on that column for the Bid Depth Volume.

Am I doing something wrong ?

You are using the Combined Bid/Ask Size column. Since that column displays volume bars for both the bid and ask in the same column, the alignment is determined by the side that is shown. Bid sizes are aligned to the left, and ask sizes are aligned to the right. The alignment setting for this column only affects the alignment of the text, not the volume bars.
