Hello, I was told bracket orders placed for earn2trade gauntlet is server sided, i.e. the TP and SL remains in the server even if I get d/c. I tested it before and it seemed to work fine (when profit target is hit, the bracket OCO SL will close). Today I had some computer issues. It hanged then I had to reboot. I had a Short ES order placed before 4PM ET (NYSE close)... my computer could only boot up after 4.30 ET and to my surprise the TP 2795.50 was done (filled) yet the partnered SL was still floating about above 2800? How did this happen? Is this a glitch? Or are the rithmic orders really not server sided? Thanks! |

Ok now I check after market open. Order there but both my TP and SL is gone for my CL short? Strange.

Hello, I checked my settings. All is correct. I had the Time in Force for them is Good till Canceled ticked. (oh wait it said time in force 'day' wow how did this happen) I also had the trades entered via bracket order (parent order) this is why I am surprised why my TP/SL went missing when computer hanged suddenly. I had been doing it for all other trades in past few weeks previously with same settings, and this is the first time this happened to me. I still dont understand why the set of TP/SL attached to parent (bracket) order can go missing when computer down, despite working well for weeks. No changes to the settings there were done either. === Summary: I do not understand, why the parent (bracket) orders which were triggered on ESH9 & CLH9 on the same template/settings had different outcomes (though both are bad and behave out of the norm). For ES, the TP & SL levels still remained, except the TP 2795.5 was done without closing the accompanying SL (I still had the buy STOP floating above 2800??) while on CL it was much worse - simply an open order floating about without any TP SL (both went missing). Hiya Sierra, Guess what? The e2t guys told me they have just confirmed Rithmic had some kind of server issues maintenance done yest (ard the same time when I experienced those glitches/bugs) so the fault is likely Rithmic's! (and not yours). Since I've been using bracket orders always, with the correct settings and this is the first and only time so far it has happened, I will view it as an isolated incident. TY for your prompt reply - Really appreciate it. |
