Chart trade market entries compared to DOM market entries

Hello friends,

I hope these words find you well. I have a likely simple question about order fills and flattening orders from different chart books that are referencing the same thing of value (namely the ESH9 contract). Up until this morning, all charts have worked to show similar movement in the underlying contract and similar entry/exit data made on my part (ie entries and exits; contract buys and contract sells on various time frames etc). This morning I was trading with a simulation account, and found that an active order in the market would not flatten as displayed on a 30 minute chart, while the DOM I have associated with that 30 minute chart along with all other time-frame charts and the DOMs associated with them note that my account is flat with no active entries in the market. When I try to close the order in the 30 minute chart with an equally sized and opposite order, this adds the balance to all respective DOMs and all the other charts referencing the ESH9 contract. At first I figured it was something easy I could correct by retracing my actions, though at this point realize I need to inquire with you!

Surely there is an easy answer to this issue, though I can't seem to find it myself. I tried reloading the respective charts and restarting Sierra Chart in whole just to see if such might get things back in order, though the same issue remains: I have a 'fantom' entry in the market that doesn't go away [in simulation mode fortunately so not an excessively urgent issue, though I would still like to figure out what happened for education's sake]. It progresses from being a short on my 30 minute chart [at which point all DOMs and other ES charts show my account is flat] to a long in all the other charts and DOMs I have tracking ESH9 when I remove the entry from the 30 minute via purchasing an equal position in the opposite dirrection. Is there a way to manually 'flatten' a position via the chart trading option without entering an equal and opposite position? If so, that might solve my problem or at least be worth trying. I was not able to find such an option this morning. Admittedly I have not use the chart trading option much if at all.

I did review the 'trade activity window' and for what it's worth found it {the trade activity window} shows that a trade is active on the 30 minute chart when the trade is indeed active on the 30 minute chart, though all the other charts and DOMs referencing this same contract note there are no active trades in the market. When the 30 minute trade is canceled with an equal and opposite position, the 'trade activity window' shows that the opposite position posted is now active on one of the other time-frame charts that reference the ESH9.

Any thoughts you have would be sincerely appreciated. Many thanks for your time.

This issue worked itself out by the close of the day in some way beyond my understanding ~ I am still curious what happened! ?

Cheers

We are just getting a chance now to read this over thoroughly. The solution is explained here:
Trade Simulation: Trade Simulation Position Quantity Calculation

Also the latest prerelease has a more automatic solution to this as well.
