Hello,

I have service package 5 with CQG data feed, both provided through AMP Futures.

I'm interested in using Sierra Chart Historical Data Service (not real-time) to view the charts for stocks such as APPL.

Can I do this with my current account? or do I need to have a paid account directly with Sierra Chart?

Thanks

You need a direct account, see here: SC Historical Feed

I wonder if Amp would compensate users back for those of us who use Amp and need a direct account for more features, or work out another deal with SC to offer a full featured version/including SC Historical Data?

Is using the SC Exchange Feed a solution to this, does it work with Amp provided SC accounts?

And if so, then does the SC Exchange Feed include access to SC Historical Data Service also? How can one use both at the same time/which does one connect to?

You do need to have a direct account for complete access to the Sierra Chart Historical Data Service. Refer to:
Direct Sierra Chart Account

And if so, then does the SC Exchange Feed include access to SC Historical Data Service also?
Yes it does.

So in that particular case you can just use the Sierra Chart Historical Data Service directly and separately:
Sierra Chart Historical Data Service

You will want though to disable Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Allow Support for Sierra Chart Data Feeds if you just want the historical data only.

I am using SC Exchange Feed but it still says SC Historical not enabled on package.

Also, if paying other exchange fees through Amp/CQG, ie CME bundle, to also get live CQG data/platform access/second feed, is it possible to avoid paying same exchange fee to SC also, if also using SC Feed?

In other words can exchange fee be paid once to use two different feeds?

This should not be the case. We are checking on this.

We see you have activated CME exchanges and EUREX with the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed, so these can be canceled with your CQG account through AMP. They are not needed and we know that.

We see you have activated the CME professional exchanges, are you considered a professional?

Can you also do the other way, cancel exchange fee through SC, and use the Exchange fees paid through CQG/Amp? This would allow access to a second feed of CQG and direct access through CQG's platforms also without double paying the same exchange fee.

Not professional for exchange purposes.

I also cannot access FX data:

No, this will not work.

We will be solving the problem of you not being able to access the historical data when using SC Data-All Services, in about an hour. You will need to restart Sierra Chart.

This will require the Sierra Chart Advanced Service package 5. You are on the standard service package.

So FX Data is not included with the SC Exchange Feed? Or it just doesn't work with Package 3?

Does CQG, TT, or any of the other supported futures trading services also provide FX Data/trading in the US?

When you are using Sierra Chart that has been provided through an affiliate, you do not have a direct paid account with us, and you wish to access functionality that is not provided in your limited version, you must have an account with Sierra Chart directly and have a standard installation of Sierra Chart. To accomplish this, follow the instructions below:

Direct Sierra Chart Account

We did get behind on this but this has been effective as of today.

Does CQG, TT, or any of the other supported futures trading services also provide FX Data/trading in the US?
This question is only going to be relevant in relation to CQG since Sierra Chart does not support TT market data and the answer is probably but we are not sure of the symbols.

1. Please clarify, for FX data, do I just need a direct account (package 3), or also package 5?

2. What is the source of the FX data?

3. Is it possible to set up the FX data through CQG?

You just need Sierra Chart service package 3. The source of the data is FXCM.

3. We do not know. This is not something we would help with and we think it would be a mistake for you to try.
