[Locked] - Deadlock Condition: Versions 1870 through 1874.

We have determined that a deadlock condition can occur in versions 1870 through 1874. This means that Sierra Chart could unexpectedly freeze for no apparent reason. It was due to what is called a critical section being exited twice rather than once due to a critical section object not getting passed as a reference and instead a copy. That in itself does not lead to a deadlock immediately but subsequently can. This issue has been resolved. It is necessary to update to version 1875 following these instructions here: Software Download: Fast Update Now this kind of problem is completely unrelated to a high CPU usage condition. What you would notice during a deadlock is the CPU usage of Sierra Chart is 0%. So high CPU usage conditions due to complex chart setups, is unrelated to this. Versions 1870 through 1874 are being locked out at this time but we will clear this lock before morning in case some users have difficulty updating for whatever reason but we will reenable the lockout Friday after the market close.
