Hello,

Not so much a support request but just a heads up to anyone running into trouble if they are in a corporate environment which might be on a LAN different to their home LAN settings.

I recently moved into some serviced office space and could no longer connect to CQG FIX.

After thinking it was a firewall on my computer (it wasn't), I discovered that although the IT Team at the Office said that all ports are open on their firewall and they are not blocking any IP addresses, I still couldn't connect.

Connecting via the CQG WebAPI however, I could then connect.

This issue has driven me crazy this entire week upon moving into the new office.

It was finally discovered that FIX is blocked by a socket in some firewall in the Office network.

Not a network admin/engineer so don't really know what happened but can suggest to others with this issue to either switch to CQG WebAPI or discuss with Network Admin that FIX is perhaps being blocked.

Hope this helps anyone as it has driven me crazy this week.
