Right Clicking to Access "Drawing Porperties, etc."

Prior to updating from Version 1834 to 1853 awhile back, if I ever wanted to Right Click a previously drawn Rectangle to access "config/drawing properties/move/adjust/etc.", I could place/point my cursor anywhere in the rectangle and click. After the update, I now find I must point exactly on one of the lines before clicking to pop up the access list. Has that been subsequently corrected back to the old way or is there some stated reason which I've not seen explaining why the change was made in the first place?

Yes this is the current behavior but we can add an option to allow right clicking anywhere within a Rectangle drawing to display the menu specific to chart drawings. The reason this is changed, is that it causes a problem when right clicking on a chart in the area of a rectangle and it is not the intent to access the menu for the drawing itself. Thank you for the reply, very clear explanation and the offer to add the option. Your explanation jogged my memory to remind me that I have experienced the problem you outlined "when right clicking on a chart in the area of a rectangle and it is not the intent to access the menu for the drawing itself". Having the option, however, "to allow right clicking anywhere within a Rectangle drawing to display the menu specific to chart drawing" would be most useful for those of us who use/adjust Rectangles very often.

Yes. The option actually was added some time ago and is in Global Settings >> Tool Settings but it was never internally implemented. We have now done that and it will be out with the next release.
