I've searched the SB and looked through the documentation for any reference on requesting margin values, both by-instrument (intraday or overnight/maintenance), and the margined 'buying power' for the trading account that I'd connect to SC...only finding was how to get the account's cash balance. Is this feature available? Date Time Of Last Edit: 2019-02-12 05:25:06

The only potential margin related data in Sierra Chart would be the related fields on the Balance tab: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/TradeStatusWindows.html#AccountBalanceTab Those would only apply though to current positions and orders. Okay, thank you. I'm using IB and Rithmic - both provide account margin through their APIs & native apps. Regarding instrument-specific margin, I suppose I could back-solve for it from monitoring the change in 'Available Funds For New Positions' before-to-after a new position. Is this what you'd recommend at this point? If not, may I request such a feature for a future release of Sierra Chart? I can always scrape it from the website of each exchange, but I'd still need to access it from a ACSIL script. |
