When doing development I'm finding it really tedious to remove and re-add each study manually every time I make an edit.

Imagine this scenario: I edit five studies and then remove and re-add them, one by one, then I edit them some more and remove and re-add them, and on and on...

Feels like something that could be easily automated. Maybe I am missing something here.

Can you add a button or, better still, a settings checkbox to automatically reload all (or only recently changed) DLLs on a chart during a manually triggered recalculation (or something similar)?

Why do you need to remove the studies in the first place? That is not something standard. In any case you could also just use an empty study collection to remove them and then another study collection with the studies, to apply them in one step.

There is nothing you said here that is a problem. All of this is by design. You can be 100% assured, that this is all proper functioning and will not change under any circumstances.

You cannot change a default Input value that is saved and expect Study Collections and saved studies within Chartbook to change. They will not.

Although we are not sure what you mean by this:
1. With Plus Sign+ Result: the study wont display properly and the new GraphRegion int value is not updated in the study settings.
If there is some kind of display issue we can look into that but do not understand it.
