Hi:
New user using CQG data plus FIX for routing
Two questions:

1. Data rows appearing on the ASK for the DOM are disappearing during the trading day. Eg. There are 20 data rows visible on the BID side - yet at times only 4 data rows appearing on the ASK side on the DOM - Have I set something up incorrectly?

2. Pre market I cannot see where the opening price is matching on the DOM for futures contracts - so I cannot see where the market is going to open. Can I configure something to see where the market is likely to open when in the pre-market phase on the DOM ?

Thank you

1. No. Consider using the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed for data:
Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed

2. You can look at the best bid and ask prices which would be represented by colors based on the color settings, or by the Bid/Ask quantity numbers to see where the market is likely to open.

For the color settings, refer to:
Customizing Fonts, Colors, Line Styles, and Widths for Chart Trading, Chart DOM, and Trade DOM

You could also use a standard chart and enable this option on the chart:

Thanks - just in reply

1. The exchange I am having trouble with is the SFE (Sydney Futures Exchange) - it does not look like SierraCharts offer this exchange unfortunately ?
(I guess I can have multiple data source providers running in the one instance if need)

2. Perhaps oif I enable the the Best / Bid / Ask Background Box ?
I couldnt see a Best Bid and Ask Option - but i need to see where the price will open / match between the best bid and ask - not just asks well below the last price and bids well above

Thanks again

1. No it is not offered. We cannot help with any CQG market data issues.

2. Yes you can use that color setting.

The issue of losing data rows on the offer side of the DOM only affects the SFE data.
CME is not affected
If I have to use an alternative data supply to remedy - I'm happy to do so if it is a CQG / Sierra combination issue for SFE
But if there is no alternative to SFE data than CQG I'm stuck
I still need CQG for routing
I have contacted CQG they simply say they can see indefinite rows of SFE data in their DOM so their data is OK - doesn't help me.
I'm also using CQG for three other futures exchanges.
Changing color palettes on DOM didn't allow me to see where the market would open for SFE - I'll keep fiddling but open suggestions
