In a CQG session it's easy to determine if charts are live or simulated using the TSM controlBar icon to toggle between live and simulated modes, and it simultaneously works across all charts and doms in a CQG session.

In a sub-instance session charts and doms are set to live or simulated using the relative chart Trade Window. However, unless the Trade Window is in view there's no way to determine the chart or dom account i.e. live or sim.

Can a status reference be added to display on the chart and dom windows making it easy to determine to which account they are assigned?

Let us think about this and see what we can do. Maybe we could display the account identifier as an option on the Trading DOM window.

But actually we really did resolve this in the latest release indirectly . Update to the latest release following the instructions here:
Software Download: Fast Update

If you are using a simulation trade account in the sub instance, the sub instance has Trade Simulation Mode disabled, and the main instance is not in Trade Simulation Mode, the order for that Simulation account submitted from the sub instance will be rejected.

"Maybe we could display the account identifier as an option on the Trading DOM window."

Having the account identifier on the DOM and any active trade chart would be a solution, with a glance we know from which account the DOM/Chart is ready to trade from.

Please see pic showing the DOM when Sim is active. It would be helpful if a live account could be seen like this.

Thank you.
