Overlay and Add Additional Symbol not functioning correctly

I have been testing the Overlay and Add Additional Symbol studies to charts to use for eventual spread trading. However, I have noticed when comparing these two studies to the original symbol, they plot completely differently. If you view the two attached charts, one chart is CL 6/19 by itself. The other chart is CL 6/19 charted in chart regions 2 and 3 underneath the main price graph. If you compare the original CL 6/19 chart to the Overlay and Additional symbol studies, you will see they look completely different. They are both the same symbol and time frame, but they appear to be two different sets of data.

If I change the main symbol on the chart in region 1 from CL 2/19 to CL 6/19, then the Overlay and Add Additional Symbol studies will chart correctly and match the original chart. So I have no idea what's going on or why this is happening. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The answer is revealed by just looking at the timescale below. You cannot make the comparison that you are. There is a lot more trading in the near-term futures contract compared to the further out contract. Just look at that and think. Just think about what you are seeing and look at the study Input settings.

You do not have to ask us. It is always best to think about these carefully yourself before asking.

The CL 2-19 contract really has nothing to do with my question I simply mentioned it as an example and it just happens to be part of the same chart. I am not comparing a near term and far term contract. I am referring to the same CL 6-19 Contract in both pictures (See New Attachment). I highlighted in orange the two studies both based on the same 6-19 contract.

Look at those two charts and look at the time at the far left of each of them at the bottom. Notice how they are different. What does that tell you? The main price graph in the chart is what establishes the timescale and the additional symbol data is loaded to match with that timescale and blanks are filled in as necessary with the prior value.

Every chart in this discussion is all set to 1 second so I am not following what you're saying. The Main Price chart is set to 1 second, so each study is also automatically set to one second, I understand that. However, if I open a second separate chart of the same symbol at 1 second, shouldn't it have similar price movement (aside from minor scaling issues) and show duplicate price movements?

Attached are both indicators compared to a similarly scaled CL 6-19 for better comparison. All charts are based on 1 second periodicity.
