Hi,

I would like to have the Initial Balance high and low displayed on a minute chart. Just basically lines at those levels extending right. Can this be done on a minute chart without the whole Market Profile/TPO Profile chart study or with the MP/TPO study only showing the IB levels?

The Daily Change%, Daily Change and Settlement Price on the Quote Board are based on the close at 4:00 CST. That's followed by the hour the mkts are closed from 4:00 - 5:00 and the start of the then new ETH session. Is there an option to have these levels for the close of the RTH session, for ES for example at 3:15 CST instead of 4:00, for CL 1:30 CST instead of 4:00?

Thanks

Yes use the Initial Balance study:
Initial Balance

For information about the Quote Board fields, refer to:
Getting Quotes: Field Descriptions

You cannot control the session times for them. But an alternative is explained.

Hi,

Thanks for the info. I've gone through the documentation for the QuoteBoard and Spreadsheets and it doesn't appear that a correct RTH close, Daily Change %, etc., is possible. My data feed, Rithmic has the 4:00 CST ETH close as it's settlement. Under the QuoteBoard and Spreadsheet documentation near the bottom under Field Descriptions and Settlement Price it states, "If you want to control what is considered the Settlement Price and calculate for example the Daily Change according to a different point in time, it is necessary to use an Intraday chart set to Daily bars and using Custom Session Times. Make sure the Chart Header is set to display the Daily Price Change field so you can view it." Yes, that info is right there, but I'm trying to get this set up in a quotes environment so these prices are listed on top of each other where you can see prior to an RTH open a risk on/risk off/mixed environment.

While completing that sentence I came up with the idea of trying the Add Additional Symbol study to an existing RTH chart with the Graph Draw Type set to blank for the primary symbol and show the Chart Header only. The primary symbol worked but added symbols came up ETH, so no good there. I then tried the Overlay (Single Line) study for add'l symbols but the data that I want such as close and daily change doesn't show up under overlay and isn't an adjustable option. I think I'm sunk. Would you have any other ideas?

Thanks

Hi,

I just wanted to share how I resolved the situation with the incorrect closes based on RTH. I created a chart for the RTH session for each symbol I wanted, then left the chart "Blank" under "Graph Draw Type" which is under "Chart Settings". I then made the chart very small/thin from top to bottom just showing the Chart Header with the data there that I wanted. Comparing the closes from the prior RTH on the charts that were created to the current quotes on a regular Quote Board gives a good read as to what's up prior to the upcoming RTH session. It works pretty good...

Another way to do this is to use the Study Summary window:
Study Summary Window

And then use the Bar Difference study which can be displayed in the study summary.
