Is there a way to customize or preferably add new buttons to the attached trade window that would let me Flatten at Ask or Flatten at Bid?

The reason is that I may have several contracts open and it’s not necessary to immediately flatten where one has to get out quickly and take whatever the market price is. Instead I would like to exit the trade if I can get a better price by one tick than what the Flatten at Market price would be.

I’d like to not have to change the quantity buttons from what they are set at to use the regular Buy Ask/Bid, Sell Ask/Bid order. When I have several charts open and many trades occurring, I'd like to just quickly hit a button to flatten the trade for the market price with a one tick increase in profit which would be Flatten at Ask to exit a long trade or Flatten at Bid to exit a short trade.

Also, is there a way to change the individual colors of the buttons on the attached trade window, for example just changing the color of the Sell Ask button and not the Sell Bid button?

We can add these but they would be added as trading commands which can then be buttons on a control bar which allows you full-color customization and you can also do keyboard shortcuts and also right-click shortcut menu commands as well for these.

The only way to do this is to add these commands as control bar buttons and then you can customize them. Refer to:

I tried setting up a new chartbook with a detached chart set to Always on Top and added a control bar, when I did that I was still able to use the 3 control bars that I have at the bottom of the application.

However, when I duplicated a chart on an existing chartbook that has all my charts on it and set it for Always on Top which you have to do or it disappears when you select another chart in the chartbook then I was not able to use the 3 control bars.

For example, if I had the detached chart selected and tried to change the time frame it would change the time frame on another chart in the chart book. Same thing would happen with other buttons on the main control panels at the bottom of the application they would not affect the detached window. I'm assuming all charts in the chartbook must be detached to be able to use the control panels that are docked to the main application window.

Thank you for offering to add this feature but is there any way that instead of a control panel button on a detached window that those two buttons could be added to the Attached Trade Window underneath the row of buttons, Flatten, Reverse, Cancel All and Menu.

It could be an option in the Menu section so people could have the Flatten At Ask or Flatten At Bid buttons display or not display depending on whether they needed them or not.

With regards to the Control Bars not working for the Detached window, that is because the Control Bars that are associated with the main application affect the selected window that is part of the main application. You would need to open the necessary Control Bars for the detached window.

For information on how to do this, refer to the following:
Control Bar: Window >> Control Bars >> Control Bar [1-8]

I noticed an exception to that, I tested it again tonight, if you have a chart book that only has detached charts on it, then the docked control bars on the main application will work on any of the detached charts selected. If you add an embedded chart to the chartbook then you can no longer use some of the buttons on the main control bars to modify any of the detached charts although the drawing tool buttons on the main control panel work in both situations.

Since I’m writing I thought I’d mention something I noticed while reading about the Chart DOM settings.

The recommended settings in the manual
Global Trade Settings Windows: Chart DOM Settings
has Left Click on Buy Column Above Last set to Buy Limit, but a buy limit must be below or equal to the last trade price according to the error one gets on the Trade Service Log. And the same thing with Left Click on Sell Column Below Last is set to Sell Limit, that will also generate an error, sell limit must be above or equal to the last trade price.

To solve this you need to just disable this option:
Global Trade Settings Windows: Reject Chart Trade Orders That Will Immediately Fill (Global Settings >> Chart Trade Settings >> General >> Order Entry)

Hi, was this "flatten at ask/bid" functionality implemented?
