Occasional trouble with entering trade with cross-hair.

Last Thursday around 1 p.m. Central I entered a limit order trade with the cross-hair. The values in the window were correct but when I entered the limit order it was entered as a MARKET order. I flattened and cancelled the order thinking perhaps I had done something wrong (though I've been entering orders this way for months with no problems). I tried again. Same thing. I then moved my intended limit order about 5 pts away from the market value. It placed another market order. After that I closed all windows and re-booted the system. After the re-boot, the same problem occurred on the first trade and then straightened itself out with subsequent trades. (NOTE: I had this problem one day months ago but it straightened itself out and has been working properly since.) Today, all started out well enough on the first trade. On the second trade, the same problem occurred. Just finished a trial trade away from market value and it entered properly. Have no idea what it will do next. I haven't changed any settings. Whatever the problem is it appears intermittent. Your attention to this matter will be greatly appreciated. David |
