Hi there

What is the recommended way to monitor and manage multiple open positions when trading on Lmax?

I understand the Orders and Positions window does not work when connected to Lmax and the Trade Activity Log window should be used instead. This is very limited though and there does not seem to be a way to monitor all open positions or flatten all open positions from a single place.

I am using a Quote Board to switch between symbols on linked charts and the Trade Stats for Charts tab on the Trade Activity Log only shows the open P/L for the currently active symbol. This makes it very difficult to keep track of overall exposure.

Many thanks

Hello,

I am using lmax as well....on 1 screen i have a webbrowser to see my account (lmax account GUI is horrible though...but u see your account as it is with almost 100% certainty) and i also have charts open with chart trading active to see my positions via position lines....what do you need more?

Thanks for that - sounds like a solution.

Ideally I'd like to be able to handle it all through Sierra.

You just need to open a chart for each symbol you want to trade and make sure Chart Trading Mode is enabled:
Trade Menu: Chart Trade Mode On (Trade menu)

And then you could use the Trade Stats for Charts to monitor the positions in one place:
Trade Activity Log: Trade Statistics for Charts (Chart Stats) Tab

Thanks for those links. I have the Trade Stats showing all positions now.

To not be able to close all positions from a single location seems to be a big omission to me. The suggestion given in post #2 (having Lmax website open for a position overview) seems to be the only viable option right now. Is this something you intend to or are able to improve on?

The root of this problem is the fact that LMAX does not provide Position data over FIX. So LMAX will have to solve this. But if they have not done this after years after we have requested them to do so, we think it is a lost cause.

Ok understood.

Is there any possibility to provide a UI feature based on the data seen in the Trade Stats for Charts that achieves the same functionality as the Orders and Positions window? Most of the relevant data seems to be there without it coming from the Lmax server.
