[User Discussion] - Custom time frame problem with candles

I am using a custom time frame setting and simple candle stick chart. I have two studies running on this chart. One colors a candle if it hits a certain volume. The formula I am using is this ABS(C-O)>=250*0.01

The other study is a countdown timer as provided by sierra chart.

Here is my problem:

My chart prints a new candle every couple of days according to the custom time frame I have set. I have set the days - minutes - and seconds.
Yesterday the previous 4 candles were red - red - green - green. Red is a downward negative candle for the custom time frame and green is up.

Today when I loaded my chart it changed the last 4 candles to red - green - red - red.

How can I stop this from happening. I am trying to measure a trend on my custom time scale but between log in's over night something seems to be changing.

The formula in post#1 does not reference time nor volume. It would only reference the Open-Close range of the current candle.

I understand. I was just trying to explain all parameters I am using on this chart in case there is a conflict for some reason.

The issue is the chart candles changing their trend organization from one log in to the next. I need to figure out how to make it constant.

You may need to set the chart to load data from a specific Date. You can do this through Chart >> Chart Settings.

I tried changing the dates but it did not revert the chart to the way it looked 4 days ago. Any other ideas?

Hopefully there is a solution. I can not implement a model and know my entry if the chart changes the candle stick trends.

If you are using any cumulative studies, the start date would need to be the same as it was 4 days ago.

You haven't provided enough information for others to help you.

Maybe try unchecking Chart Settings>>New Bar At Session Chart if it's checked.
