From the CMEGROUP web site, it looks like 1:1 Crack Spread for (CL RB) or (CL HO) are 1:1 in the same month and use a multiplier of (42 x RB) - (CL) for charting the spread. It looks like SC has preconfigured the symbols to use for these 1:1 Crack spreads, but as I look through the documentation I'm still a bit confused if I'm choosing the correct symbol for DEC 2018 (RB CL) 1:1 Crack Spread. Could you help point out the correct symbol to use? Or, should I be synthetically creating this spread with (42 x Dec RB - Dec CL)? Is there an advantage either way?

From what we can tell this will be the correct symbol:

CL:C1 RB-CL Z18.FUT_SPREAD.NYMEX
