Why are the actual AMP customer's posting above not getting the rates in the cost calculator then? The rates in the calculator do seem too low to be correct/not including some fee or commission. Can anyone actually confirm that is what they pay total all in on their statement?

Since they are also a Clearing House, there are no fees other than commission ($ 0.50 R/T)

It is unlikely they actually perform their own clearing.

AMP states ROUND TURN which is false, it is per contract side NOT round turn. At the bottom of the calculator read where it says this is "per contract". Per contract means === you enter a single contract to execute a one contract trade, then when you exit the trade you are charged AGAIN for the second contract executed to exit.

AMP knows the ROUND TURN printed at the top of the calculator is in plain English called "CONFUSION". LOL!!

and last but NOT least ALL firms MUST clear all the trades through a clearing as required by ALL exchanges. Without clearing where would we be?

http://www.deepdiscounttrading.com/ as IB for http://www.crosslandllc.com/

ES: $3.64 r/t all in using SC
You pay for your own SC. There are no extra data, this or that fee.

If you choose "FLAT RATE" - and thats what we are talking about here - then there is two columns. One sais "per side" and the second sais "round turn". pls check it out.

I am no expert but I think that a CLEARING FCM (like eg Vision or Advantage Futures, and of course the really big ones and actually most of the FCMs) does not need any other clearing firm, does it? Thats the reason why they are "clearing" FCMs!? AMP is not, they mostly clear through ABN Amro as I was told.

I am in no connectio what so ever to AMP, except that I have an account there since a couple of months.

DarthSidious, are you using DDT at Crossland? What you quoted is not correct. I am using DDT/Crossland, and if you check their platform page for SC, you have to pay a clearing/routing fee for the trading service: http://www.deepdiscounttrading.com/TradingPlatforms.html

Previously the cheapest was TT at $.15/contract, which they just dropped. I have switched to Rithmic with them and they are still in the process of setting it up, but it is now $.35/contract through Rithmic, and $.25/contract after May 1 if you request it.

This is why I'm looking at TT with Amp, if they can actually provide the rates shown in the cost calculator without adding any other fees, they would be the cheapest. But based on the experiences of those in this thread, that seems hit or miss. I am also still waiting for them to confirm if their TT FIX adapter supports overnight positions, but they have not been responsive for the past few days.

Futures Operator, Yes I am actively using DDT/Crossland with TT feed. Yes, I notice that they have dropped it in the description in the website. But I am still using it. They have not asked me to move. What I quoted, ES: $3.64 r/t all in using SC is what I stand by, as that figure is from my daily statements. But, yes, it does seem they are not providing what I am using any more, so that's a bummer. Maybe give a call to Howard and ask him if he will still be able to set you up with TT? Worth a try, I guess.

I've been using TT with DDT/Crossland as well, and Howard said they are moving all customers off in a week, so you may want to prepare for that. For what it's worth, my statements show exactly what DDT's site quotes, including the $.15/contract TT fee for the trading feed, if you add up all the commission, exchange, nfa, ets, omf fees and divide by the number of contracts, which was $4.36 on GC per contract round trip.

I suggest you open a new thread for your DDT/Crossland discussion.

Well, then why not move to "CQG = .10¢ Per Contract & $10/Mth" option? You would save 10 cents r/t (over TT, which is .15¢ Per Contract), and would be out only pocket change because of the $10/Mth add-on. And if you do more than 100 r/t a month, you actually come out ahead, right?

Sorry AKR, last post to close out the off topic discussion. The TT $.15/contract at DDT is no longer an option anyway, so the alternatives are CQG, CTS, and Rithmic at DDT. From what I've found and seen here on the SC Support board, CTS and CQG do not seem anywhere near as reliable as TT. Using TT with Crossland, I've actually NEVER experienced ANY downtime, in an entire year. There seem to be no issues or support requests relating to TT other than overnight position reporting, but based on the support board, there seem to often be issues being addressed/fixes for the other trading services.

The options with TT now are Advantage, which requires larger account sizes only, and Amp, bringing us back on topic.

Is there a daily disconnect with Amp on TT, and does the Sierra Chart auto reconnect handle it without issue?

For the price I can't belive how reliable TT is with AMP. Since I started with TT/AMP/Sierra (towards then end of January) I have never had a disconnect (and I am in New Zealand!). I am also very impressed with the speed - I did a side by side with TT and CQG/Continumm and another with TT and Rithmic - if anything I would say TT was slightly faster. All 3 seemed to capture all trades.

The downsides with TT:

1/ Reporting of a trade taking place at the bid or ask is inaccurate. But I don't use this for my trading. The DOM and depth are accurate.

2/ No account balance data is transmitted for Sierra to use. Not a major for me as Sierra does it's own reporting which I compare to my AMP daily statements. Maybe overnight positions are a problem, but I don't trade 'overnight'.

3/ The biggy for me is no server side OCO's. But then TT are not alone with this. Apparentley AMP are working on this with TT. Also you will note from another thread here that Sierra have agreed to look at some code in Sierra that would put your entry order to the exchange and when filled your profit target order would be held in Sierra but your stop loss order would be sent to the exchange, so if you lost connection at least you have a stop order at the exchange protecting your trade.

I read somewhere there is a daily disconnect around 5:30 EST, is that not the case?

Has anyone experimented some lag issue with TT/Net service?
I have a fiber optic connection, but the ping from Europe is always around 120 ms
