Hello folks,

simple question:

am i able to see the pricelines for working and filled orders (chart trading) across several instances?

I am connected to a single LMAX account and then running a 2nd, 3rd and 4th instance based on that parent instance.

While orders/fills for a specific symbol get shown on charts across different chartbooks of the same single SC instance, i cant see them on a chartbooks's chart belonging to another corresponding instance.

Working with 6 monitors and over 40 symbols at once gets a bit messy. So i would like to place trades on the main chartbook
and then switch symbol. But at the same time i want to have a TECHNICAL VIEW on my trades ALL!!! the time (not just profit loss on a trade log sheet). Therefor i have 3 additional instances running on, ofc, 3 additional monitors, each with chartbooks for a specific set of symbols.

But that doesnt help me to full extent because the different instances don't seem to communicate among each others regarding positions/orders of this sinlge LMAX trading account.

I am quite positive its just an option i have to turn on but didn't find yet.

Best Regards and keep up the good work.

Edit: adding flaws to the list as i go on:

1. Positions, opened on the lmax web-interface dont show up on the charts.
2. 1. wouldnt be a problem if i could trade index cfds through SC, but i cant: "Your order in Gold (Spot Mini) was rejected. The reason was: the quantity exceeds the maximum position limit for this instrument."

BUT! it looks like this is SCs fault, i cant open a Gold(Spot)mini position? I am still testing how all works. BUT this was ordersize=1 FOR SURE!!! Placing this order on the webpage is no problem at all....margin is around $60. The same goes with index cfds...webclient accepts the order...but order gets rejected if put through SC.

Yes but update to prerelease 1819 because some versions have been affected by an issue where historical order fills are not downloaded to a sub instance. This is resolved in the latest prerelease. Not sure if 1815 is affected or not though. And to make sure you have those fills in a sub instance, clear the order fills for the Trade Account following the instructions here:
Trade Activity Log: Clearing Trade Activity Data

Do that in the sub instances and reconnect to the data feed after in those instances.

In part this could be related to the issue we described above but you also need to understand how the Position Quantity is determined and make the appropriate adjustment:
LMAX Trading Service: How Current Trade Positions Are Determined

1. Positions, opened on the lmax web-interface dont show up on the charts.
Read the section about how the Position Quantity is determined. It must be related to this.

"Your order in Gold (Spot Mini) was rejected. The reason was: the quantity exceeds the maximum position limit for this instrument."
Does not make sense or this does not look like an LMAX error message and any message like this would be from the external trading service. In any case, refer to:
LMAX Trading Service: Order Quantities

A quantity of 1 in Sierra Chart is going to be LMAX .1. This is most likely the problem. So you need to use 10.

It really was a serious mistake for LMAX to choose fractional quantities. That should never never have been done.

Thanks for the fast response.

I updated to 1819 PreRelease version 64bit and cleared the logs of all instances as described.

1. Setting the quantity to 10 did the job. It looks like as they sum up those minis internally to standards. Its not working as i expected.

2. I think i found at least a hint WHY the orders dont work as intended. If i set an order in a sub instance, then the "orders and positions" log
of the parent instance lists the symbol as [sim]. Its strange, because the sub instance is NOT!!! in simulated trading mode and its log shows the
symbol as a non-sim one. So that may be a reason why orders set in sub instances dont get passed through to LMAX and actually working orders dont show
up on sub instance charts (parent instance works fine, as far as i can tell).

Strangely enough, the sub instance's "orders and positions" log shows the working LMAX orders but cant place them on the charts. Whats going on here?
I can asure, that the charts on the sub instance are in NON-SIM chart trading mode.

Best Regards

EDIT: Can you pls take a look into CADJPY...there arent any historical data if connected to LMAX.

2. Make sure you are selecting the correct Trade Account:
Basic Trading and the Trade Window: Main/C >> Trade Account (Selecting Trade Account for Chart / Trade DOM)

And make sure that Trade >> Trade Simulation Mode is disabled in the sub instance. We know you said you checked but we are just saying it again.

And we also did a thorough test now using a sub instance with LMAX and the order did go through to LMAX. We think the problem is not using the right trade account.

Just wasting your time and saying "Thanks". It was the wrong Trade account.
