I installed SC on a second computer, but cannot login with the same exact username and password.
I am logged off SC on first computer.
Is this common ?
I am referring to software start up page, I have not gotten to trade service page yet

a dialog box pops up and it says " invalid account rname or password, make sure you are entering your name and password exactly as given"

I used the same login credentials that I use on this computer that I am on now. I was not logged in on main computer when I tried logging in on the second computer. If that matters at all.

I thought I read that you can login with a second instance of sierra chart.

With the Sierra Chart account you are using, because it is provided by a broker, you are limited to using Sierra Chart on one system at a time. Refer to:

Although that is not the reason you are having a login problem as long as you are using Sierra Chart only on one system at a time. The reason for the log in problem is because the password was not entered correctly.

I have first computer off, and I am entering the password and username correctly, but sierra will not start up

it must have to do with limited software from broker

Our log show that at this time GMT: Wed, 30 Oct 2013 01:30:15 +0000 you tried to login using the correct Account Name but the password was wrong. The log cannot be wrong. The password must not be entered correctly.

password was generated from amp futures,
Sierra Chart limited version is provided by AMP futures with my Trading Technologies data feed.

I think I have to use the one they provide in this situation.

but the sierra software logon is the same as my data trade services connection username and password for
tt.

I am reluctant to mess wtih it.
