Hi,

I loaded variable pivot points with identical settings on 2 separate charts. I noticed that the pivot points were at different levels on the 2 charts.

I have since worked out that in chart settings, If i load 40 days in one chart, but 45 days in the other chart, this causes the pivot points to be at different levels.

I have not altered any default settings in pivot points.

Please Advise

Identical charts, with identical studies, only diffrence being that one chart has 40 number of days to load (in chart settings) , and one has 50.

But the variable pivot points are at 2 different levels.

The Number of Days to Calculate will have to be at least 31 for this calculation to make any sense. Otherwise, the whole result is completely inaccurate.

This makes absolutely no difference..If i put in 31 days as the "number of days to calculate" on both charts, I am still getting exactly the same issue.

Okay thinking about how that study is designed and accesses the prior data, we can see it is not affected in this particular way through the Number of Days to Calculate.

But the problem is actually quite obvious. If you understand the pivot point formulas, of course you are going to get a difference. Refer to:
Pivot Points: Formula Type 0

You need to substitute the word "Yesterday" with "prior month" in this particular case.
