Is there a study/custom study to view the developing daily Range/Volume compared to previous (x) in the current time frame, similiar to the attached screenshot?

Thanks

This can be done.

We will put together a study collection for this later today for you.

I find this study collection very useful, thank you Sierra.
On the first post in this thread the .jpg shows a yellow line which is the moving average of volume / range development.
Would it be possible to add the n period SMA (default = 5) to the studies?

You can add a Moving Average to the displayed studies by using the Based On setting documented here:

Unfortunately what I was looking for will not be given by simply adding a moving average to the display. I am after an average of the range or cumulative volume values at the same time each day. My computer skills not up to doing this in C++, but could probably manage via a spreadsheet. Please advise if you see an easier way of generating the value.
Thank you

There is also a Relative Volume study in the User Contributed Studies:

Tom, thanks. This study also provides basis I can work from for another study currently calculated from a spreadsheet - cumulative volume at current time today vs cumulative volume at same time yesterday.
The value yields useful info when scanning a market to day trade eg
> 150% = strong likely to break to new highs / lows
< 80% = weak market likely to revert to daily mean
If day vol starts to fall during the session, this indicates deceleration and likely to be dangerous for trend following or break out entries.

Will post code if succesful in developing a useful study.
