How to get Sierra real-time Data through a broker?
The question really is not valid because this data feed can be used even when Sierra Chart is connected to an external trading service:
Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed: Integration with Trading Services

But this data feed you will be paying for it yourself.

If I choose a broker I get datafeed to be able to trade live.

As you're no broker I cannot simply use your datafeed and trade at the exchange.

This is why I am asking who offers SC feed because there are brokers offering data from TT, Rithmic, cqg etc...

No broker will directly offer the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed but it can be used with the various supported trading platform services like CQG.

Sorry but I am afraid I don't understand you.

I get cqg datafeed from my broker. Why would I add Sierra Charts Exchange Data Feed to it, which I have to pay for while cqg is free?

There is no need. You can use the CQG data feed if that meets your requirements. This is what most of our user base does. But if you require more than ten levels of depth other than for the CL futures market, is one reason why you would want to use the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed.

That makes sens, but then again I cannot use your data feed on Bookmap as an example. This is why Rihtmic is "easier" as it allows me to both add it to SC and Bookmap.

Sierra Chart has the equivalent functionality that bookmap has. Refer to:

Sierra Chart at this very precise moment has no equivalence to bookmap unfortunately.
I wish you would bring all those amazing features and looks to Sierra but Market Depth Historical still requires a lot of improvement.

Hello,

If you intend to remove Rithmic from SC, then you should be able to provide your data through the brokers to allow live trading or am I mistaken?

I've asked to 4 futures brokers and they all said they would not support your data...

Thanks

Yes this is correct.

This is a meaningless statement from them because they have no technical competency to even answer this question. This is not true. It is not up to them. They cannot control that.

Okay thank you for these brokers. We will make sure they understand that the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed can be used with the trading services they provide.

Will your datafeed be supported on Bookmap as well?

Yes it definitely can be if Bookmap simply interfaces to the DTC protocol which is very easy:

With this goal in mind, can your datafeed bring this level of quality/reliability to include the major global futures outside CME, and spot FX as well, into an integrated solution through SC?

I'm certainly looking forward to the full book depth on Sierra. I agree it will be a game changer if we don't need to rely on Rithmic.

Perhaps 100 ticks will be your next milestone ?

Yes this will be the case.

Once we make the number of market depth levels adjustable the intent is to make it adjustable up to a much higher number. We probably will allow up to 200 initially and see how that is.

ok understood, fyi Eurex does (already) provide the data, but my educated guess is that Barchart are not yet processing and distributing it since it requires subscription to different, relatively new and dedicated Eurex interface. And I also spoke to Eurex who said that Barchart are not one of the data vendors registered for the special interface I am referring to (but I know other vendors who are not "registered" according to Eurex but actually do have business relationship with Eurex and provide the data haha). But by all means do check with Barchart and also what their plans are

are you referring to CEF Ultra +?

Sierra Chart Engineering - post #72

Our understanding is Barchart obtains the EUREX data through CQG. So most they can do the number of levels CQG provides and we will request them to do that.

They have a new Open Feed version they are coming out with, that we are switching over to in the coming weeks that is supposed to be more efficient so they should have no trouble with this.

it has been done?

Thank You

'Yes this will be the case.'

What is the expected timeframe on this? Also any idea what will be the data source and clearing options for the FX side?

In response to post #119, the move to the updated more efficient Open Feed will happen in the next few days but we are not sure if and when Barchart will add additional levels of depth for EUREX, assuming they are available.

In response to post #120, it depends upon the exchanges. What exchanges are you asking about?

For clearing options for cash Forex, it would just be LMAX. If you are in the United States, there are no good cash Forex options.

I'm testing the data feed out till the end of the month.

It has certainly improved since the last time I tested it (30 levels) but it would be so much better if it was more than 50 levels.

Given the quality of Sierra's datafeed you would be onto an absolute customer magnet if you could initially double that 50 levels to 100 levels before you eventually get to full book

May be I suggest to enable limited history ... 1 - 2 days at most for market depth of these popular instruments as well ...

This will remove the need for running sierra all the time just to collect market depth data.

This feature will be really great as the only solution right now is to keep your PC open 24/7 with SC running to collect this data. I'd be happy to pay few extra $ per month to get access to this data without leaving my PC running 24/7.
