Chart Drawing - Ext Ray?

I use volume to dictate my rollover. This morning SC told me it was time to roll my NQ charts so i did, and i used the checkbox to roll the adjust the chart drawings. When done i noticed some of my drawings did not move - extended rays and extended rectangles. I then used the Manage Chart Drawings window and saw i had too much clutter for my liking, felt i had been a little lazy in keeping up with my homework and decided it was a good time to delete all the drawings and recreate. (i like to do this from time to time). So i used the MCD to delete all the drawings and the extended rays and extended rectangles are still on my chart. i then tried "Erase all Non-Text Drawings" but they're still on the chart. Why are these not deleting? Why are they not being adjusted with the rollover selection of "adjust chart drawings"? It does seem to be limited to Extended Rays and Extended Rectangles. Maybe the drawings are locked?

I don't believe so. i did get some warnings on locked drawings that i had to click "yes" for, but these are not showing up at all in the MCD window, and they're not erasing when i select Erase All Non-Text Drawings.

Therefore, they probably are being copied from another chart. You know? i was sure i had checked that this morning, but apparently not well enough. they are in fact coming from another chart. So that answers the deletion question. But the chart they are coming from was also rolled this morning and these drawings did not adjust. Can you hazard a guess as to why they wouldn't adjust if i checked the box at rollover? Does that feature affect all drawings attached to all the charts referencing the symbol being rolled? |

Yes. I assume that's what you built it for, correct? (I'm referring to that check box we can select at rollover) I assume if you check that box to adjust chart drawings, the drawings will adjust with the roll. or am i misunderstanding the purpose of that feature? |

No price adjustments occur when rolling over the symbol of Chart Drawings. That would be a mistake. That is something that you need to make a decision on and initiate manually.

OK, my mistake then. i assumed the "Also Rollover Chart Drawing Symbols" referred to adjusting the chart drawings to match the rollover adjustment. is this something that could be incorporated later perhaps? |
