Hi,

I have for the last week been receiving a windows notification alert sound for an application hang (see screenshot) when shutting down Sierra. This particular installation also becomes less and less responsive the longer the charts are open.

I have done another installation from scratch but the same issue is occurring.

Any suggestions on what I can do to stop this ?

ps I have a totally separate installation and never had any such issue

We definitely do not think this is a Sierra Chart issue. We think it is due to custom studies or an operating system issue.

Try running Sierra Chart in Safe Mode.

We actually noticed this ourselves, on one of our servers and it was due to a Windows update and a compatibility issue with the network driver. So once the network driver was updated it no longer occurred.

You're right.
It was one corrupted chartbook. No idea how to correct it so I rebuilt a new one to match and this is fine now

That would indicate it is a Sierra Chart issue, but really does not make much sense to us. Unless the Chartbook were causing some sort of memory corruption. But in our experience that would be very unlikely. Anyway, at this time we just have to let it go.
