Is there some way to get SC to kinda auto set quantities?

Hello Support,

i am facing this "issue" on a day to day basis. i have an attached SL but no targets configured. when i enter a trade with lets say 5 contracts i often want to scale out 2 at a (now not known) point in the future. then maybe another 2 and let the last one run for as long as it can..

as i know it, i need to set the quantity to 5 for the order entry, then manually set it to 2 for the first two scale outs and then to 1 for the last one. after that i need to set it manually back to 5 again to have my initial trade size set.

sierra does offer quite a lot so i want to know if there is something i might have missed which sierra might do (semi)automatic to support me with my scale out trades..? can i configure it to set sizes as described above?

thank you,
Andreas

you can set up custom attached orders for this

sunnyod,

thanks for the hint though i am not sure if you understood my q correctly or if i did not understand your tipp :)

i dont have a particular target.. i am aware that i could set up target orders somewhere "far off" though i would have to move them to the target to get filled.. thats impractical and error prone and takes too much time for my style of trading (scalping) where 100ms matter and i would probably need 500ms to just find and move that order..

so, i just would want to click and done..

if i got you wrong, plse tell me what i missed.

thanks,
Andreas

why not set your target to closer like 5 ticks away? I'm a scalper. I have 5SL and 5TP. This is the setting I use for my scalping. You can do this in attached order settings it's all there

coz i have no predifined target.. my target is, when the side i am trading with stops being dominant.. this can be after 1 tick or after 10 ticks or more, i dont know that in advance

if you don't want to set multiple tps with different sizes to close at time of position entry, then i'm not sure

I'm having the same issue: needing to switch my order quantity right after entry and then again when flat.

It would be nice if there were a "scale quantity" feature for each trade window configuration, so that once the initial order is filled the order quantity is automatically set to <scale quantity> and once flat back to the initial order quantity associated with the trade window configuration.
