filtered footprint

good day.

my filtered footprint refuses to load unless the actual chart is open.. and even when I do happen to have it open, it will only load for that period and then I will lose it all when I open the quote board and change symbols..

I am struggling to open it and have it come with the history.

Of course you do need the chart open. What do you mean by "lose it all". This is not clear for us. We assume you are referring to the Numbers Bars study and this is based on data in the chart data file and that data is just not going to get lost.

Actually thinking about this some more, if you are using the Volume Filter settings, you definitely do not want to change the symbol of the chart through Quote Board because obviously the filter settings are not going to be correct for that symbol. And cause unintended filtering.
