VBP: Volume Bars Outline and Fills Colors Subgraph with Hologram Draw Method

I was reading "Volume by Price Study" documentation, it says: " Hologram: The Volume Profile is drawn as a rectangular style outline. The Volume Bars Outline and Fills Colors Subgraph on the Subgraphs tab of the Study Settings window controls the Color, Line Style, and Line Width for this Draw Method. " I tested, with Hologram draw method, it only controls the color, but not the line style and line width (Draw Style was set to "Visible"), with "Volume Profile Outline Only" draw method, all three work. not sure what I did wrong in Hologram settings, please help. Thanks! |

Sorry for the confusion. You have not done anything incorrect. When using the Hologram display, the Subgraph options for Line Type and Line Width do not have any effect on the outline. We will work on supporting at least the Line Width in a future release. The Line Type may be a bit more involved, so we will see if we can do that as well.

Thanks John! Features of changing color and width would be always nice to have. Also, I just realized that maybe very few traders would use the line type other than "solid", because profile outlines are almost always irregular curves, a dash type for example would cause key information missing.

We have finally had a chance to get to this. So now the Width/Size setting of the Volume Bars Outline and Fill Colors controls the size of the Outline for the VbP for the primary session and the Width/Size setting of the Evening Session Volume Bars Outline and Fill Colors controls the size of the Outline for the Evening Session VbP when displayed separately. Note that this controls the size of the outline for all the Volume Bars Draw Methods, not just for the Hologram. This will be in the next Pre-Release (v 1883).
