Hello,

Is it possible to do the background calculation of an higher time-frame chart (Reference 3x higher) and plot the results on the actual chart without having both charts opened?

Thanks

In case there's some confusion by your use of the word "open" and you really mean not the active tab, I'm pretty sure you can do what you want without the referenced time frame chart being the active chart tab on your chartbook (assuming you don't have the Destroy Chart When Hidden feature turned on). I do this with multiple charts referencing tick data from other charts on my Renko charts.

No, I just thought I could reduce the amount of charts available on the screen by running the calculation on the background on a "hidden" chart. This way it would have been easier to keep a chart/chartbook clean.

thanks anyways

When you say "Hidden" maybe we're talking about different things but, attached is an example of my NQ Trend Chart in the lower left tab. The data I circled in the lower right corner of the chart is coming from studies and calculations from the chart next to it on the NQ Tick chart. The NQ Tick Chart is NOT displayed, it is hidden behind this active chart until I click on its tab. I've also overlaid different time frame charts as Moving Averages on this chart from other charts that were not displayed. If that's not it, I'll drop it from here ;^)
