Hey Guys,

i´m about getting started with live trading. I really love the sierra chart software and now i´m thinking about which are the next steps to go (including buying the sierra software). My favorite broker is Captrader/IB and CQG as a Data Feed. I will be trading FDax and FESX most of the time. Can u tell me if these 3 different things work together or if there are any problems with those?

Thanks in advance and sorry for my bad english :/

If you need further information, don´t hesitate asking.

When you say IB do you mean Interactive Brokers?

Interactive Brokers and CQG are both supported. If you want a better data feed when using Interactive Brokers, you need to use the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed:

Integration of this data feed when using Interactive Brokers is supported.

Thanks for your fast response. Please check if i got this right.

If i open up an account at IB (Interactive Brokers) i have to pay 33USD per Month for Sierra Chart (not including the yearly payment discount) + 35USD for the Data Feed + 21USD for the Exchange (if i´m using the Eurex professional feed in order to trade the FDAX and FESX.

In Addition can you please explain me in simple words what "Real Time Symbols" mean (Bars in Chart?)and if 100 Real Time Symbols are enough when i´m using 6-8 Charts (1min, 15min,Daily;) simultaneously. It´s important for me that i can go back up to 7 Days back in time in the 1min chart and up to 2000Days in the daily chart.

Again much thanks in advance and pls excuse my "dumb" questions.

Best regards.

Yes, but the 21 USD per month is for the nonprofessional EUREX fee. Not the EUREX professional fee. Whether you are a professional or not depends upon how the exchange interprets that. Otherwise, the data feed is the same.

100 symbols is more than enough for what you need. You can also choose the 10 symbol option for 25 USD per month.
