I'm hoping you can help me understand how or why this keeps occurring:

i have a spreadsheet with formulas i'm using. One chart, one Spreadsheet System for Trading in the chartbook. i duplicated the chart.
On the new chart: Analysis> Studies> Spreadsheet System for Trading i changed the Chart Data Output Sheet Number to match the new chart and i changed the Formula Source Sheet Number to match the new chart. Essentially (or so i thought), this new sheet and chart would work independently from the pre-existing sheet and chart.

i changed some formulas in the new sheet and ran a replay. the new formulas work initially, but then revert back to the previous formula. it almost seems as though the pre-existing sheet repopulates the cells in the new sheet.

So shut down SC, copied and renamed the spreadsheet, pointed to the newly named spreadsheet from within the second chart. Surely now they are separate, but not so fast. i didn't delete the other sheets in the newly named workbook so again, the formulas are getting overwritten.

So i deleted all the other sheets in this new workbook that don't pertain to anything (except sheet 1). All that remains is sheet 1 and sheet 2 (my duplicate chart is Chart #2). But.... having done that, my formulas are also gone.

Why/how are these sheets linked together with respect to the formulas?

You really have to make sure that there is only one Spreadsheet study referring to a particular Spreadsheet and Sheet within it. And that the Formula Source Sheet Number Input is using that Sheet.

Would be best to close all other charts to be sure in order to isolate the problem.
