Hi I hope you can help.

I use the NYSE Tick Chart for my trading. I want to set an alert that fits the following criteria: Whenever the NYSE has a high tick or a low tick value for the current trading day, I want an alert to go off confirming the time and value of the low or high tick.

Is this even possible with Sierra Charts?

Thanks for your time and I look forward to any replies.

Many thanks,

Shyam

Thanks very much for the quick reply. I think this is what I need. Would this study also be able to identify relative high and low ticks as opposed to just for the day?

What you might do is a spreadsheet study or export bar data (for the NYSE Tick) to Excel or Python etc and run some stats so you can make your own definition of what is "relative" high and low based on however many days or weeks or months of data you want to analyze.

When you've worked out that definition you can easily set an alert in Sierra for whenever the High and Low of the TICK cross those threshholds
