I would like to compare current price with past Highs and Lows, and past highs with highs before and lows with lows before. How do I reference these turning points? I appreciate if someone point me to the right direction. Thanks... |

You can do it with a spreadsheet study. Here are some example formulas: Spreadsheet Example Formulas and Usage: Other Examples |

Thank you Tomgilb, I am aware of the example formulas, as a newbie to spreadsheet formulas ( I mostly do my work with "color bar based on alert condition" study) how ever I could not figure out how to reference previous Higher high to a higher high before that, for example, any leads on that direction?

It's not possible to reference previous Zigzag swing highs and lows with Simple Alert formulas. To do it with a spreadsheet study, you'd need a formula for each previous high and low, so the number of previous legs you could reference would be limited. |

If you don't want to see the exact values you can also use the swing high and low study. That study can draw you a line at each swing point along with some arrows etc |
