Correct, but I need a study also to be run on the opened chart. There is no ACSIL function to add a study to an open chart ( agree that setting up inputs to the study will not be easy ), duplicating an existing chart with a study, will address my requirement. The proposed duplicate function should have inputs for symbol and time frame, for the chart to be opened.

This does not exist. It is not something we can add anytime soon. The closest you can do is to use a Study Collection which would be automatically added to a new chart.
