Volume By Price Study - Visible Bars - Limit to Current Session

Is it possible to limit the Volume By Price Study, when using the 'Volume Graph Period Type' - 'Visible Bars' to only the current session or the last N days? This is useful for scrubbing the chart to see how the profile is developing throughout the day. thank you, |

From how we are interpreting your question, the answer is to simply change the Volume Graph Period Type Input to another option that matches what you are wanting to do. For example, if you want the VbP study to show just the Current Session, then set the Volume Graph Period Type to From Session Start Time to End. What I was hoping for was a way to limit the number of days back for a profile that showed all the visible bars. That way, midday or post session, it would be easy to to scrub back and forth to see the profile develop and see how the price interacted with it. Right now we can do this, but if you only have one session on the chart, it is hard (impossible to scrub) and if you have more than one session, some of the data from the previous session appears in the profile. I hope that explains it properly. Currently, I have to play back the session at 60x and record the screen, just to see this and move the slider back and forth to examine what happened. I only do this at the end of the day, and it would be helpful to be able to do it natively in Sierra throughout the day. |

Is this something that could be looked at? Would this not be a trivial to add a flag to only take the current session data into account? This would be very useful to use during the session as well, so the use could have a chart that they can move back through the day, bar by bar, so that they can see the Volume Profile form, and the effect that price had on it. Right now if the previous session is visible on the screen, it will add that to the profile. I currently have to use replay and record my screen to get what I need. thank you |
