I want to put a stop order of 6 ticks and as soon as the market moves by 8 tik it places the stop 1 tik on the entry and does not move.

I tried to read me Order Types
and I did several tests but I could not do it.

How can I do it ?

Here's an example using Bracket Orders for both a Stop and a Target when placing an order. After you've adjusted your settings, You MUST remember to name and Save Configuration using the Menu or M on the Trade Window. This is the step most people new to adjusting these settings forget in my experience.

* Start by selecting Simple Bracket or one of the other bracket examples in the Trade Window Dropdown Menu.

* Select the Targets Tab on the Trade Window

* Highlight the Stop in the upper window.

* Enter your Stop Limit, (in your case 6 ticks) in the Stop Offset box.

* In the lower left window Move to Breakeven For Stop select Step 1 then select the Type Offset in Ticks Triggered. You want to put 1 in the BE Level Offset box. NOW, put 8 in the Trigger Offset box. This will now move your Stop from -6 ticks to +1 tick when price touches 8 ticks beyond your entry.

Now...SAVE your work by going to the Menu or M button on the Main tab and selecting Save Configuration as mentioned above.

IF you wish to add a second higher stop if price continues to move up, you could do so by selecting the Step 2 option and repeating the above. Otherwise just leave it as None.

You can adjust your Target price the same way using the Target 1 highlight back at the top of the window if you want.

Don't forget to click the Use Attached Orders box on the Main tab if using bracket orders.

Hope that helps. See the images I've attached below to see where this changes should be made -->

Hi Scott,
in your configuration the stop moves every 8 ticks the price moves.

I want to put a stop order of 6 ticks and as soon as the market moves by 8 tik it places the stop 1 tik on the entry and does not move.
Exemple i Entry a 2614 the stop automatically positioned at 2612.50... just the price go up at 2616.25 the stop is positioned at 2614.25

Antonio, it should only move to +1 once when price hits 8 ticks above your entry and then stay there if you are using the settings I showed above. If it's doing something other than that chances are your settings are wrong. Did you mistakenly select Stop: Step Trailing Stop under the Type of Stop at the top of the window or one of the Trail settings under Type at the bottom of the window? Check my image in my earlier post and see if all your settings match those conditions and let me know if it still doesn't work.

P.S. I've attached a file for you to try, setup like the image I posted. It has a 16 tick target and a 6 tick stop that moves to +1 tick when price is 8 ticks above your entry. Put this in your data folder in SC and select Sample6tickStop in your Trade Window dropdown.

Antonio,

Here's an image of that Control Bar that I use on the main chart. I just created it as Control Bar 2 and I float it on my main chart. There's nothing really special about it but I've include my Sierra.cfg file below if you want to play with it since it contains all the control bar settings for both my upper and lower bars. You won't get the icons in the .cfg file though so if you want/need the ones I use let me know and I'll send them to you.

That activates the Trade Management by Study study that I use to turn on a Kiwi Trailing Stop once I'm in a winning trade and I want it to manage a runner. I don't want it on all the time so I can turn it on and off easily with that Button.

Scott, I built the control bar, but it is not possible to put conditional orders with Stop and target ?

Scott, I built the control bar, but it is not possible to put conditional orders with Stop and target ?

Conditional in what sense? If you want to use limit trigger orders just use the Chart DOM and you can place them wherever you wish. I only use the Control Buttons to place a quick Market or Bid/Ask order with Brackets based on my current selected ATM strategy in the TradeWindow. As long as you have an ATM strategy active in your Trade Window (displayed or not doesn't matter) your position will include your Stop and Target brackets. If that's NOT the case for you, then make sure your Trade Window for that chart has an ATM strategy selected and that the Use Attached Orders box is checked on the Trade Window itself.

Let me know if that doesn't work for you or if you mean something other that what I thought.

Scott, I try to explain, the Dom I use (attached) is cumbersome and my idea was to replace it with the Buy and Sell buttons, but they had the function of stop and target, equal to the Dom with the functions you indicated to me (stop order of 6 ticks and as soon as the market moves by 8 tik it places the stop 1 tik on the entry and does not move) Exemple i Entry a 2614 the stop automatically positioned at 2612.50... just the price go up at 2616.25 the stop is positioned at 2614.25
