What 64-bit issue are you referring to?

If you are referring to the issue with updating to a new version, then yes, this has been resolved at least going back to version 1727.

Tried to install version 1733...still will not update. Same computer, internet..no changes on my end.

Dennis, if you're using one of the older versions that had update issues in Win10, you'll have to update via the SierraChartDownloader.exe in your main SierraChart folder. After you've updated to the newer version, you should be able to update normally via the menus in the help menu.

You won't lose anything. There was just an issue with updating from within the program and SC addressed it in a later version.

Further testing did show that Windows 7 was affected as well.

No and nothing will be lost.

Update Sierra Chart by using the installer from this page:
Software Download

Make sure you install Sierra Chart into the same folder as it exists currently on your system. If you have multiple installations, you need to update each one.

I'm not a IT expert, would probably lose charts etc. Just forget about it.... I'll stick with ver. 1717. Thx for your input.

You will not lose anything at all. Sierra Chart is not Windows and it is not one of the crap programs, the majority, that are out there. It is ultra simple and rocksolid.

You are not going to lose anything.

People do not realize, just how bad other programs are especially Microsoft programs, and just how much absurdity and garbage they put up with due to stupid designs. Sierra Chart is a superb design when it comes to its installation and organization. It is very reliable and simple.

Thanks for the offer, you guys are great. I'll stick with 1717 for now, eventually you'll come out with a version to correct this. I liked it the old way, download the new version and you're up and running in 2 minutes or less. thx again, I will not post about this issue again.

Dennis, take them up on their offer. The current versions DO fix the problem of the older version allowing you to update from within the application just as you're used to.
